About us
Are you locally owned?
Sunvalley Cabinets is locally, family owned. The company was founded south of Winkler near the village of Blumenfeld by George Elias in 1983. Read more about the story here.
What communities do you service?
We are happy to service most any Canadian communities within a 3 hour radius of Winkler MB. However the majority of our work is done within 1 hour of Winkler.
Pricing
Is there a minimum project price?
No, while we do not have a minimum project price we will give priority to projects over $10,000.
How much are custom cabinets?
Custom cabinets have an incredibly large variation in price as the there is endless options in materials, hardware and design. For this reason we do not provide per lineal foot cabinetry pricing.
What influences pricing the most?
Prices for built-ins and cabinetry are based on:
1. The complexity of the overall project. For example:

Specific job site conditions, such as moulding or color that needs to be matched, or existing conditions that will require additional time and attention- for example, floors that are not level or walls that are significantly out of plumb.

Whether general contracting work (demolition, electrical, plumbing, etc.) is needed, in addition to design and construction.
2. Features and materials used. For example:

Cabinet construction methods, layout, and configuration

Door styles: shaker, flat, inset, raised panel, etc.

Type of wood or materials: Maple, White Oak, Red Oak, Painted, Walnut, Cherry, Alder, Hickory, Melamine, Thermofoil (Vinyl Wrap) etc.

Finishes: laquer, stain, glazes, paints.

Type of hardware.

Add-ons such as glass doors, lighting, pullout spice racks, rollout shelves, lazy susans, etc.
Throughout the design process, we will inform you of how your selection of features, materials, and accessories will influence the price of your project.
Installation
How long does installation take?
For a simple built-in, installation can be a day. A kitchen can take several days to weeks, depending on the complexity of the project. We make every effort to do most of the construction in the shop, to minimize the disruption to the home.
